4 Wheeling Layout

 Today I have a 2 page 4 wheeling layout to share.

 

 This layout is another one where I got to use Paper House Great Outdoors collection. I don't use a lot of camo print paper, but for this layout it was the perfect background. 

I also thought the fun chevron print looked a bit like tire tracks on this layout. 

We had a lot of fun riding this day, and we all got pretty muddy. I love having days like these preserved forever in photos on layout.

On the Missouri Layout

 We took a long weekend getaway at the beginning of August. On last bit of uninterrupted family time before summer break was over. This on the Missouri layout shows a bit of that weekend. 

 

We stayed at a place right on the banks of the Missouri River, so we spent a little time fishing and quite a bit of time just walking the bank and playing by the river.

One of my favorite collections for scrapping these kinds of outdoor adventures is Paper House Great Outdoors. It's a fun hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, general outdoors type collection. We don't do a lot of fishing, so I jumped at the chance to use some of the fishing themed papers and embellishments.

Hotel Travel Layout

Oh my how August has gotten away from me. I've had the photos printed and the paper picked out for this hotel travel layout just sitting on my desk for weeks. I finally got time to put it all together this weekend. 

I like to take photos of the outside of our hotel and the inside of the room when we travel. Especially when we have a cool feature like we did at this hotel. We had a porch with a phenomenal view of the Bavarian Alps. However, the snow kept us from spending too much time sitting on it!

For this layout I used Websters Pages Love Story collection and Love is in the Air collection. I used a mixture of paper, ephemera, and stickers from both collections. 

I also added a few photos of things we did at the hotel (like grabbing a yummy dark German beer at the hotel bar).  I especially love the large "Enjoy the Journey" sticker, as that is truly our philosophy when traveling.

Fun in the Sun Scrapbooking Layout

August is here and that means so is the August kit from the Scrapbooking Store. My first layout with this month's kit is this Fun in the Sun scrabooking layout.

This is the last of the summer themed kits from the Scrapbooking Store. The main kit features papers and a card stock sticker sheet from Echo Park's Summer Fun collection. The optional upgrade includes printed chipboard frames, washi tape, and some fun trims.

I really like the pops of black in this collection. you don't see a  lot of black in summer themed collections, and it really makes this one feel fresh and new.

Every year we take a similar picture at one of our favorite campgrounds. It's fun to see how much we change over the years while still keeping to some of the same traditions.

Hello Travel Layout

I am finally on my last layout of pictures from Neuschwanstein Castle. It's such a gorgeous location that I took a ton of photos. It feels nice to be finishing up the section with this Hello Travel Layout.

I love getting to actually be in some of the photos we take when traveling. I especially love that we can take photos together without having to ask someone to take one for us. Such a change from when we started traveling together years and years ago!

This is another one of those layouts where I went back, back into my stash with We R Memory Keepers Wildflower collection mixed with other random embellishments from my stash.

Time to close this section of the Germany album and move on to the next!

Favorite Adventure Travel Layout

I'm continuing to work through some travel scrapbooking while also working through my stash. Today I have a Favorite Adventure Travel Layout to share.

I tend to have a lot of photos to scrap for travel layouts, so I do a lot of multi photo layouts. To make them fit on the layout and still have space for embellishments and journaling, I like to print my photos at 3 x 5 instead of the standard 4 x 6.

The paper on this layout is from an old We R Memory Keepers collection called Wildflower. I am trying so hard to get through my stash before buying anything new. I've purged a lot of papers, but still have a number of old collections stashed.

Old collections can get some new life when you add in embellishments from other collections. I've also found that I tend to put papers from a collection together in a different way when I put them away for a while.

Do you like to work through your stash, or would you prefer all new papers all the time?

Kickoff Cookout Scrapbooking Layout

It's July, which means there's a new kit from the Scrapbooking Store. I'll have a few layouts over on their social media, but today I wanted to share this Kickoff Cookout Scrapbooking layout with you. It features both the main kit and the upgrades.

The kit features Echo Park's Best Summer Ever collection. It is bright, fun, and full of summer prints and icons like ice cream, water balloons, bathing suits, sunglasses, and so much more.

Don't let this kit fool you, though, you don't have to use it to just scrap summer photos. This photo is of a fall cookout, but the prints and embellishments still work perfectly.

The upgrade portion of the kit includes diecuts (some of which have glitter!), chipboard shapes, and some amazing shaped enamels.

If you're looking for a bright and sunshiny kit, the Scrapbooking Store's July kit will not disappoint!
