Hello Winter Decor

I've got one last Christmas in July project using Paper House's and winter papers. This is my Hello Winter front door decor.

I made this to hang on my front door in winter, but it would really look cute just about anywhere.

I started with a 12x12 glassless frame. I sewed strips of snowman paper on top of the snowflake paper. Finally, I added the "Hello Winter" tag as my focal point. A few puffy stickers helped add some extra dimension to the finished frame.

I hope you enjoyed these Christmas in July projects.

Snow Fun Scrapbooking Layout

I'm back this week with a couple of projects using Paper House's and winter papers. It might be warm outside, but I'm leaning into the frosty feel with this Snow Fun Scrapbooking Layout.

I love a good all over print, and that snowflake paper just nails it. I love the pop of orange! It's so fresh and fun.

There are some super cute puffy and 3D stickers that coordinate with these papers. The tag in the center had the same snowman printed on it, but I just had to make him dimensional with a puffy sticker. The puffy snowmen are just so cute!

I cut a small snowflake tag from the paper and used that for my journaling tag. These photos were from a quick trip we took to my parents' this past January. They didn't have much snow, but my son really wanted to go out an make a snowbird.

I'll be back Thursday with another layout featuring this fun new snow themed paper.

Wild and Free Scrapbooking Layout

I'm back with one last layout using the July Kit from Scrapbooking Store. This Wild and Free Scrapbooking Layout showcases how you can use this kit for camping layout.

I love watching the sky change when the sun starts to go down in Deadwood. Pictures never quite do it justice, but I thought I'd give it a try with this layout. I loved how the pinks in the kit really helped bring out the sky in the photos.

I also thought mixing and matching all the floral patterns was a nice nod to the nature theme of the photos. I used both the included sticker sheet and the upgraded embellishments for this layout.

That's my last of the 6 layouts I made with the July kit, and you can always find more on Scrapbooking Store's Facebook page

Christmas Garland

Instead of the planned confirmation layout post I had scheduled for today, I'm sharing a Christmas in July project instead. Today I have some super fun Christmas garland to share.

Paper House just released some gorges new Christmas and winter papers and we're celebrating with some Christmas in July projects. Decorating for Christmas is one of my favorite things, so I couldn't wait to make some garland with this gorgeous new Christmas paper.

There are a whole bunch of pre-printed tags. I cut out some of the 3" x 3" and 3" x 4" tags. Then I used some of Paper House Coordinating Christmas stickers to embellish the tags.

The mix of 3D and puffy stickers adds a lot of texture. The 3D stickers also have glitter and gold foil on them, which makes this garland super pretty. I love this so much that I think I'm going to make another set to use as gift tags to dress up my packages this year.

I'll be back next week with 2 winter themed projects using some of the new paper.

Confirmation Layout

My oldest was confirmed this past May. I was looking through my paper stash and realized I had the perfect collection for scrapping the day in this Confirmation Layout.

I created 2 layouts from Confirmation Sunday (I'll share the second one next week). This first one shows all the family that came out to share the day and celebrate with us. My family isn't very big, so it was so special to have almost all of them there.

The banners our church uses for confirmation are very red. I was rearranging some of my paper last weekend and realized not only does Paper House's One Big Happy Family collection have the perfect pops of red in it for these photos, the blue floral paper was almost the same pattern as the dress I wore that Sunday!

I used a mix of card stock stickers, puffy stickers, and some religious themed stickers for my embellishments.

What a great day!

Leaving Munich Scrapbooking Layout

As promised, I'm back with another layout using the July Kit from Scrapbooking Store. It's another Mt. Rushmore Scrapbooking Layout. Here's my Leaving Munich Scrapbooking Layout.

This is actually the last of 6 layouts I created with the July Kit. I used up just about every scrap of paper. In fact, I didn't even have a 12 x 12 piece of paper left for this one, it's made up of all leftover cuts from the other 5 layouts. Those strips of pink, blue, and red paper? They're actually hiding a hole where the gold arrow paper and plaid paper don't quite meet up.

I found this kit (and the Safe Travels collection from Simple Stories that is featured in the kit) super easy to work with. The colors and patterns seem to combine effortlessly.

I mentioned that this kit is great for all kinds of travel scrapping. Last week I showed how I used it for a road trip, and this week's focuses on international travel. It's really been fun to see how much this kit can do!

I'll be back next week with another layout from this kit, and you can always find more on Scrapbooking Store's Facebook page

Road Trip Scrapbooking Layout

A new month means a new kit from Scrapbooking Store. I've had so much fun with this kit..in fact, I've used up every last scrap making 6 layouts with it. Today I have the first of 3 I'll be sharing here on my blog; Road Trip Scrapbooking Layout.

July's kit features papers and a sticker sheet from Simple Stories Safe Travels collection. I love a good travel themed collection, and this one is fantastic. It's really versatile and great for everything from small road trips to big international travel.

If you don't have much for travel photos, this kit is still fantastic. All of the papers have at least one side that isn't travel themed. It's a really fun mix of colors and patterns that are rich and really make your photos stand out.

I used July's kit to tell the story of us taking our camper out to our place in the Black Hills this summer. We took 2 separate vehicles on consecutive days to get out there and it felt like a bit of an adventure. The camper sticker and overstuffed car stickers seemed like the perfect embellishments for this layout.

I'll be back next week with another layout from this kit, and you can always find more on Scrapbooking Store's Facebook page
