Colorways Football Layout

I have another layout to share with Paper House ColorWays collection. Here is my Colorways Football layout.

I don't know why I didn't think of scrapping sports photos sooner with Colorways. All these gorgeous, solid color prints are perfect for matching school colors. While I like scrapping with the traditional sports themed papers, it's fun to use some of these more neutral patterns. It really freshens up your layouts when it feels like you're scrapping your 100th sports photo.

Since Paper House has so many great stickers, it wasn't hard to fins some coordinating embellishments. I kept it simple with a few 3D football stickers and a few journaling tags from Colorways.

I love this photo so much! So thankful my photographer Sister-in-law was there to capture it.

Harry Potter Pocket Pages

I don't always scrap in order...way back in 2017 we took a family trip to California. I've finally just started scrapping the trip. Here are my first completed Harry Potter pocket pages from that trip.

I finally started on the album, because Paper House came out with these gorgeous new Harry Potter papers and stickers.  I couldn't pass up using them to scrap our photos from our visit to the Wizarding World at Universal Studios.

I especially love the coordinating 3D stickers.

I've used the flat card stock stickers before in my planner, but I loved getting to use them in this mini album.

For occasions like this, sometimes I like to create a 6 x 8 pocket page mini album. I find that I can scrap a lot of photos and tell the story of the trip or event more quickly.

We did a lot on this trip...so now I've got lots of other California attractions to scrap to fill up this album!

Pop Up Gift Card Holder

It's the season for giving! Whenever I give a gift card or cash gift, I like to find a way to make it a bit special. This years gift cards and money gifts are coming in the form of these pop up gift card holders.

These cards are from a file you can cut with your Silhouette (340361 Hexagon Pop Up Gift Card). The fun comes in customizing them with whatever papers and embellishments you like.

As you can see in the photo above, the card can be folded flat so it fits easily in an envelope.

To create this card, I chose a mix of patterned paper and embellishments from Paper House's new Christmas collection. The patterned papers are called Dear Santa and Merry and Bright. I used some flat holographic star stickers from Christmas Joy Mini Stickers, and the greeting is from Merry Sculpted Puffy Stickers.

It takes a bit of time to assemble the card, but it pays off big with a super fun way to gift cash gifts.

Colorways Anniversary Layout

Today I have another layout to share with Paper House ColorWays collection. This one is an anniversary layout.

I think the green and blue papers in the ColorWays collection are my favorite. They are just so rich and I cannot wait to use them in all the projects.

For embellishments on this layout I used some of Paper House's new clear Scrapbooking Stickers. I've had them sitting on my desk for a few weeks, but this is the first time I've tried them. They are thick and so easy to work with. The quality of them has made them my new favorite clear sticker to work with.

With this layout completed, I am now caught up on our anniversary scrapbook. I love seeing how we've changed and the adventures we've had through the years!

Autumn Birthday Card

My grandpa’s birthday is at the end of November, so today I’m sharing the autumn birthday card I created for him.

For the papers I used Autumn Woods from Paper House. This is one of my all time favorite fall collections. I love the pops of blue, and the pretty plaids included in this collection. I also added some coordinating 3D leaf stickers from Paper House. They have gold foiling all over them and really up the wow factor of the card.

The Happy Birthday was a gold rub-on I had in my stash. It was a little bit faster than stamping a greeting, but that would work just as well on the rustic wood grain paper.

ColorWays Layout

Paper House has a brand new collection! Today I want to share my very first ColorWays Layout.

The new ColorWays collection is 30 double sided sheets of paper. They come in a rainbow of colors. Most of the papers are a single color pattern, but a few contain a rainbow of journaling tags.

I'm really loving the ability to mix and match to get just the right colors for my photos. I'd been waiting for the right papers for these Germany photos, but the red table made the photos clash with lots of papers that I tried. Being able to use a grey background with pops of coordinating red and yellow worked out perfectly.

I embellished with just a few Paper House Germany 3D stickers and a Paper House hot dog faux enamel sticker.

Explore Scrapbooking Layout

Today I have another travel layout to share. I'm getting so close to finally finishing up our Germany album. Here is my Explore scrapbooking layout.

I used one of my favorite travel collections. It's Paper House Explore Your World. I think the colors are just so great for a travel collection. And, as always with Paper House, there are so many great coordinating stickers. I used a mix of puffy, sculpted, and card stock stickers.

These photos are of City Church in Wittenburg, Germany. This is the church where Martin Luther married Katherine Von Bora and preached there often as well.

Quick Travel Layouts

Today I have a set of 3 layouts to share. They're all pretty quick and basic layouts. They all use some pretty old papers and embellishments from my stash while trying to finish up my Germany album. Here are my 3 quick travel layouts.

All of these layouts are photos from Erfurt Germany. I didn't really need to make the outdoor pictures in the layout above a 2 pager, so I used small (a little bigger than wallet sized) photos to pack a lot in.

I also like to take photos of all of our hotels when we travel. This was the most "normal" looking hotel room we stayed in, so the layout is pretty basic, too.

Finally, I had a few photos from St. Augustinian Monastery where Martin Luther was a monk.

We only had about a half day in Erfurt, but it was definitely worth the drive to cross some of these cool places from church history off of my bucket list.

Let's Go Layout

Our basset hound doesn't like car rides, but he loves going for RZR rides. I'm documenting that today with this Let's Go Layout.

We had taken Kevin for lots of rides around our house on paved roads, but we'd never taken him on the trails in the Black Hills before. We weren't sure if he'd like it, but he loved it.  He likes to lean way out the window and sniff all the things.

For this layout, I chose a little bit older collection from Paper House called Discover USA. It might be a little older, but it is still one of my favorites. The rich colors and road trip travel them are just so fun. The bold patterns are easy to work with and, because it's Paper House, there are lots of great coordinating stickers.

Life is definitely better with a basset hound!

Travel Layout

Today I have a travel layout created from something a little different. First, here's the layout.

Paper House and Goldmine & Coco collaborated to create a Bible journaling kit. I enjoy Bible journaling, so  I ordered it as soon as it released. I really planned on using it just for Bible journaling, but I happened to be scrapping photos from Lutherstadt Wittenburg when the kit showed up. I got the idea that it might just be perfect for scrapping some photos from our day walking in the steps of Luther.

The colors in this kit are gorgeous. They are soft and rich and make the perfect background for photos or Bible journaling. The included papers are 6"x 9", so I needed a 12" x 12" piece of card stock for the base of the layout. I used a white and grey piece of Marbelous paper that complimented the colors from the Bible journaling kit without taking the focus away from the kit paper.

I really loved working with this kit, and can't wait to use it for a bit of Bible journaling and card making in the future.

Octoberfest Scrapbooking Layout

I have one last layout using the October kit from Scrapbooking Store. You can find the first layout I created by clicking here and the second layout here. Here is my Octoberfest Scrapbooking Layout.

We have a fun group of neighbors that gets together every year for a barbecue competition. Last year it just happened to be on October 31, so we had a fun Halloween/Octoberfest theme.

When I got the October kit from Scrapbooking Store, I immediately thought of these pictures. The colors and the theme went perfectly. I did add a few Germany themed stickers not from the kit (they are from Paper House).

Family Traditions Scrapbooking Layout

Today I have another layout using the October kit from Scrapbooking Store. You can find the first layout I created by clicking here. Here is my Family Traditions Scrapbooking Layout.

You can find everything I used on my layout as part of the October base kit and the upgraded embellishment kit. I especially love the "our family traditions" sticker (that is included in the base kit). I thought the owl paper was kind of fun, since this was a nighttime photo.

There's a great corn maze just minutes from our house (it changes to a different design every year). The year we took this photo was the first time we decided to do it after dark. We had fun, but decided we kind of like doing it during the day when we can actually see the maze.

October Scrapbooking Kit

It's October which means a new kit from Scrapbooking Store. So far I've created 5 layouts with this month's kit. I'll share 3 of them here, and the other 2 you'll be able to find on the Scrapbooking Store's website later this month. My first layout with the October scrapbooking kit is this Movember scrapbooking layout.

This month's base kit features Echo Park Fall is in the Air paper and card stock stickers. This collection is full of rich fall colors and woodsy autumn patterns. You'll find lots of pumpkins, leaves, acorns, and woodland creatures in this collection.

For this layout, I used both the base kit and embellishments from the upgraded embellishment kit. I especially love the burlap looking tags included in embellishment upgrade. They work great for journaling and as design elements. The only thing you won't find in the kit or embellishment upgrade are the alphas that I used for my title (those are from a prior Scrapbooking Store kit).

My husband often enjoys Movember or No Shave November. This was a fun "who wore it better" picture he took with our black lab, Steve. Steve has since passed away, but photos like this make my heart so happy.

Sugary Gal Mini Album

I have one more project with the new crafting kit from Paper House and Sugary Gal. This one's a little different. It's a Sugary Gal mini album.

It's for my niece who loves photo books about our family, so I kept it on the simple side so it can be handled a lot without it falling to pieces.

I primarily stuck to die cuts and stickers from the kit for embellishments.

The book itself measures 5"x7" and the photos are about 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".

I made the story for the book by printing it on 90lb white card stock and cutting it into strips.

The papers in the Paper House Sugary Gal kit are seriously gorgeous. Really beautiful colors and foiling on many of the papers. It's nice, thick paper, too, so the pages don't need any type of reinforcing to hold up to use.

I bound everything together with my We R Memory Keepers Cinch.

This Sugary Gal mini album is now all packaged up and on it's way to my niece (she lives pretty far away from us).

You can find the travel layout I made with this kit by clicking here, and a sweet layout of my niece with the kit by clicking here.
