Mommy Lhey Planner To Do List

I've never been a "planner girl". I love the trend, and I love all the gorgeous planner spreads out there, but this lady needs all of her appointments on her computer and in her phone. I need to schedule reminders that pop up for me on my phone. But....I got this gorgeous Paper House Mommy Lhey planner, and I really wanted to find a way to utilize it.

Then it hit me: I can use it to replace my current To Do list. Here's a picture of my current way of keeping a To Do list.

It's a dry erase magnet board that I keep on my fridge. It works alright, but I'm pretty excited to step up my game with my new mini planner. I'm starting with August and thought I'd share what I'm doing. It's a bit rough, and I'm sure I'll change things up as I learn more what I need, but here's the start.

Here's my monthly snapshot. I'm not sure what I do only monthly, so this will get filled out a bit more as I figure it out. Then, I can carry those things over from month to month. On the left hand side I have 2 lists. The top list is my "to do" some time in the month (or possibly even carry over into the next month). The bottom list is my "to craft" this month (and a few big projects that will carry over to the next month).

And, finally, here is my first week spread. I love checking things off my list, so I'll be checking my done items off daily. While it's not the prettiest planner spread, it's definitely what will work for me.

Baseball Layout

Baseball season just wrapped up for my youngest, so today I have a baseball layout to share.

Usually I struggle to scrap sports photos. I can never seem to get everything just right or figure out how to get the photos to work with my sports themed papers and stickers. Not this time! Everything just came together and I'm really happy with the results.

Almost everything is from Paper House's All Star collection. There are multiple sport themes in this collection (football, basketball, soccer, and baseball). There are so many great patterns in each theme that I truly had a hard time just picking a few baseball themed papers to use on this layout.

I supplemented the All Star paper pack with Paper House Baseball Faux Enamel Stickers and 3D Stickers. I love being able to mix and match so many different textures with all of Paper House's variety of stickers.

A big thank you to my sister-in-law Jen at Taylored 4 You Photography for taking these great photos of my kiddo playing ball.

The Heavens Declare Bible Journaling

I've had the idea for this The Heavens Declare Bible Journaling in my head for about six months now. I finally took the time to sit down and get that idea on paper. I'm loving how it turned out.

The idea for this Bible journaling started with Paper House's Stargazer Faux Enamel Stickers. Photos of these stickers do not do them justice. They seriously look like an enamel design. All of Paper House's faux enamel stickers are gorgeous.

While the idea started with the stickers, they were actually the very last part of this layout. I started by using Washi tape to mask of the verse my journaling was based on. Then, I layered up my Distress Ink. I chose Distress Ink colors that matched the colors on the stickers. Make sure to start with the lightest color and layer on working up to the darkest color.

I added to the galaxy feel by adding dots from white and gold paint pens as well as black and silver Wink of Stella glitter pens. Then I added the Stargazer Faux Enamel Stickers. Finally, I created a page tab from Stargazer patterned paper and added another sticker to the tab.

Romantik Hotel Rothenburg 2 Page Layout

I'm on a roll; blogging two weeks in a row! Today I have a 2 page layout from our stay at the Romantik Hotel Rothenburg.

This 2 page layout is a little bit different. Instead of using the same papers on both halves of the layout, I used coordinating papers (from the same collection) and coordinating embellishments. For example, I chose a flower embellishment for the left page that coordinates with the floral paper I used on the right page. For the left page I used a vintage camera print paper and for the right page I used a vintage film strip patterned paper.
The photos on the left page are from the interior of our hotel common areas while the photos on the right page are from our hotel room.

The papers are again from Paper Phenomenon's Flight 2715 kit. There are a few additional random travel themed stickers from my stash.

I do have to say how incredible the Romantik Hotel Markstrum in Rothenburg Germany was. It has been providing shelter to travelers for more than 500 years. No room is the same, in fact, we got to pick our room from 3 available rooms. So fun! The hotel is unique, the location was great, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the views from our window were spectacular.
