3 Years Anniversary Layout

Over the years my husband and I have taken a photo on every anniversary. I've scrapped most of those photos, but have missed a few. I went through my album and saw that I missed our 3rd anniversary, so I finally got around to making up for that with this 3 Years anniversary layout.

This was a pretty standard, we went out to eat, photo.  If we look tired, it's because we had a 10 month old at the time. In 17 years, we've managed to celebrate each anniversary in a different city, so I like to at least make a note of where we were.

I mixed and matched a few different papers from Paper House. The matt around the photo is  Greenery, the floral print is called Pink Floral/Stripes patterned paper, the next layer is Love Always, and the final blue butterfly layer is Best Mom Ever.

For embellishments I used Floral Love 3D stickers and  flowers Micro Stickers.

On Top of Mountians Layout

We have really enjoyed our summer. One of our favorite things to do is explore the areas around our place in the Black Hills. You can't beat the views from this spot near Nemo, SD, so I scrapped it in this On Top of Mountains layout.

This layout uses my favorite outdoor/mountain/hiking themed paper:  Paper House Great Outdoors. I usually stick to the geometric shapes and patterns when scrapping with this collection (or any collection, really). I knew I wanted to use the multicolor geometric mountain paper, but didn't know how to pull everything together. I realized the photoreal paper, while outside my typical wheelhouse, worked so well as a background for these photos.

There are tons of embellishments that go with the collection. For this layout I primarily stuck with the flat card stock stickers and the puffy stickers.

Dad Birthday Card

Last week was my Dad's birthday. Since we don't live in the same state, I usually have to send his card via mail, but this last birthday we were actually visiting them over his birthday, so I got to give him this Dad Birthday Card in person.

Paper House released a few new dad themed papers around Father's Day, and I finally took some time to work with them. The soft colors and lovely patterns were really easy to mix and match.

I used some matching dad themed embellishments and a faux enamel birthday presents. I love how you can mix and match Paper House patterned papers across a wide line of their embellishments.

Faith Cards

Last week I shared a confirmation layout. I had a few scraps of paper left and some stickers, so I decided to create a set of faith cards.

The papers and stickers are all from Paper House's faith based section. I really love the soft combination of colors with subtle all over patternes.

I don't have a person or occasion in mind for these cards, so I kept the greetings a bit generic. This way I can add a personal note and customize them as the occasion presents itself.

Most of the stickers I used were flat card stock stickers so I added a bit of dimensional adhesive to some of the stickers to add some interest to the layers.

Confirmation Scrapbooking Layout

A few weeks ago I shared a confirmation layout with all of our family who showed up to my oldest son's confirmation. I had planned on sharing this second confirmation scrapbooking layout with you all the following week. However, I got a bit sidetracked by some Christmas in July fun, so today I'm finally sharing this second layout.

I really like these faith themed papers and stickers from Paper House, even though they don't quite go with all the bright red in the photos. I think the soft, almost neutral patterns of the paper help it from being too busy.

You know I love Paper House's stickers, so for this layout I embellished with a mix of card stock and 3D stickers. It's a bit hard to tell from the photos, but some of the 3D stickers have a pop of silver metallic finish to them. They really help add some dimension to the layout.

We're part of a new church plant (which has been such an amazing experience), so my son was actually part of the very first confirmation class. As you can see, being part of a new church also means we're a bit smaller, so we had two eighth graders being confirmed that day.

I love having these special memories scrapped.

Picture Perfect Layout

A new month means a new kit from Scrapbooking Store. August's kit is full of bright colors and fun summer themes, which made it just right for this Picture Perfect layout.

This is an extra special kit. The  Life is Sweet papers in this collection are exclusive to Scrapbooking store. This is the quintessential summer collection full of bright colors, flowers, ice cream, watermelon, and other pretty patterns.

The base kit comes with a coordinating sticker sheet from American Crafts, and if you get the upgraded embellishments, you also get some fun puffy stickers, label stickers, and glossy stickers.

You can always find more inspiration using August's kit from me and lots of other talented designers on Scrapbooking Store's Facebook page
