Hotel Layout

I like to take photos of our hotels when we take a big trip. It's fun to see the quirky features of different places we've stayed and to document what we liked about the place. Today I have one of those hotel layouts documenting the Hotel Concorde in Munich.

I went back to Kaisercraft Lets Go collection for this layout. Our hotel was in the heart of the city, so the modern city feel of the collection was perfect for my layout.

I journaled directly onto the layout, then used a photo frame from the collection to set it off a bit. I also clustered a few of the city themed embellishments to add to the "center of the city" feel of the layout.

I used this hotel layout to note the crazy underground parking (including using a car elevator to get to the parking garage), and our garden level (read: not quite underground) room.

Christmas Gift Tags

I think I've mentioned a few times that I do not like wrapping gifts, so I use a lot of gift bags. To add a handmade touch to gift bags, I like to add handmade Christmas gift tags.

For these tags, I used paper and embellishments from Paper House Christmas Joy collection and 3D stickers from Paper House Merry and Bright

I love the Merry and Bright II 3D stickers. They're a really easy way to add a wow factor to a tag. They all have glitter or foil on them, which makes them a perfect focal point.

I started with the 3D stickers, and then used washi tape and epoxy stickers to add a greeting or extra decoration to the tag.

Using patterned paper for the tag makes both the front and back sides of the tag festive.

Add some baker's twine to tie the tag on, and you have a pretty homemade touch for your Christmas gifts.

We Are Family Layout

Today I have another layout to share using the November kit from the Scrapbooking Store. Here is my We Are Family layout.

This kit is really versatile. I've scrapped layouts from spring, summer, and fall with it. This photo is of my boys with their cousin this past summer. She came to visit us, and they wanted to show her this cool bridge where you can stand in Iowa and Nebraska at the same time.

I used papers and card stock stickers from the standard kit, and puffy dot and word stickers from the embellishment upgrade. Word stickers are my favorite, so I'm loving that there are a ton of them in this kit.

Pumpkin Scrapbooking Layout

November means a new kit from from the Scrapbooking Store. Once again this month, I used every last strip of paper from the kit. Here is one of 5 layouts with it.

November's kit has papers from Jen Hadfield This Is Family. The themes center around spending time with family. Some of the papers are perfect for scrapping fall photos, but many of them are versatile enough for any season and just about any occasion.

This first layout is our haul this year when we went to get pumpkins for carving and for decorating the front porch. We have a great pumpkin patch near us that has all kinds of pumpkins and gourds in lots of different colors, shapes, and textures.

I'll have more layouts with November's kit from the Scrapbooking Store later this month on my blog and on the Scrapbooking Store Facebook page and blog.

Thankful Welcome Sign

I was in need of a new welcome sign for my front door for November. Here's the thankful welcome sign that I came up with.

I started with a wood letter T that I had left over from a different project. I decided it would be pretty covered in paper from Paper House Autumn Woods plaid paper. I layered it on top of a piece of wood grain paper from Paper House Christmas Joy

I cut the word "THANKFUL" with my Silhouette Cameo from paper from Paper House Southwest collection

I finished the frame off with gold foil 3D leaves stickers

Coffee Layout

Today I have a layout that's a glimpse into my daily life with this Coffee and Christ layout.

To say I'm a coffee drinker is a bit of an understatement. This summer, I really started to take advantage of the quiet mornings for my first cup of the day and some Bible study. We're members of a brand new church plant (which has fed my soul in so many ways), so I especially love to have my morning cup in my Sure Foundation church logo mug.

It's not too often I scrap a photo of just me doing my everyday things, but the Scrapbooking Store September kit, which features Simple Stories I Am, is perfect for telling personal stories. It's a gorgeous collection that celebrates people, relationships, and personal journies.

I hope you remember to celebrate the everyday things that make you who you are, too!
