4th of July Star Decoration

I created this star door hanger for my front door last year. The tutorial got posted over on Glue Dots® website, but I realized I never posted it here. So, in case you'd like a little decoration for the 4th of July, here is the tutorial (late, but better than never!): 
   
      Pocket Card 







Supplies:
 Glue Dots® 
5 - 3" x 12" strips of paper from Pebble's Inc.'s Let Freedom Ring Collection 
Ribbon (optional)
Center Decoration (Optional) - My center decoration was created from the medallion tutorial found here and Pebbles Inc Let Freedom Ring Dimensional Stickers


Strips

Cut 5 - 3" x 12" strips of paper.
               Strips
Fold according to photo. Keep fold in place using Glue Dots Lines®
Repeat fold 4 times for a total of 5 pieces.

                       Strips

Use Glue Dots® to layer pieces into a star shape.

           Strips
Add ribbon to the back side to use as a hanger.
Decorate the center with ribbon, paper, or the medallion shown in the tutorial here.  

**Other Options - use smaller strips (1" or 1 1/2" x 5") to create smaller stars for garland, cupcake picks, or napkin ring decorations.
