New Shoes Travel Layout

I'm continuing to work through our Germany trip. I really love travel scrapping. My layout today is a new shoes travel layout.

The paper and embellishments are from Pinkfresh Out and About collection. I love everything about this collection. I picked it up shortly after our trip, and am finally starting to scrap the pictures I wanted to use it for.

Our second day in Germany, I bought some super cute walking shoes. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, and I ended up wearing them almost every day of our trip. They definitely deserved to be written about in our trip album!

After I bought my shoes, we departed the city through a one lane city gate (without traffic controls), ready for our next adventure!

2 Page Travel Layout

I've got one last group of night photos from our stay in Rothenburg, Germany. For this set I did a 2 page travel layout.

I journaled about our night tour of Rothenburg on a previous page, so this 2 page layout is all about the photos. I used the travel collection from Paper Phenomenon again. I just love how well it works with night time photos. The colors in the collection just seem to match the mood of the dark photos. I have a collection pack that only has 1 of each patterned paper, so it was a bit of a challenge to make a 2 page layout that is cohesive.

To make the pages blend, I made sure to use similar, coordinating papers on both sides. I especially used the rose color to add cohesiveness. I also used a bit of coordinating washi tape on both sides of the layout. Finally I added some black word embellishments to tie both sides together.

Overall, I kept this 2 page travel layout pretty clean and simple.

Night Watchman Layout

I'm continuing to work on some travel scrapbooking. Today is a layout with some photos taken during at night. I hope you enjoy my Night Watchman layout.

My husband and I love seeing a city at night, so when I read about this Night Watchman tour in Rothenburg Germany, I knew we had to do it. The tour only lasts about an hour and gives you some important bits of history about the town while walking through the city, out the city gate, and around the walls. It also helped that the Night Watchman himself was super funny (in all the best dad joke type ways).

I chose some paper from Paper Phenomenon. I liked that the vintage feel of the papers went well with my nighttime photos. I added a pop of pink and chose embellishments with some gold foiling to brighten things up a bit.

This layout only needed a little bit of journaling to tell the story, so I chose a 2"x2" journaling card from my stash (I believe it's from an old Simple Stories collection). I can never have enough journaling cards, so I keep an entire box of them on hand.

I hope your March is getting off to a creative start, too!
