Valentine's Day Decor

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, so today I have a bit of Valentine's Day decor to share.

This past month at Creativation, Glue Dots® debuted a new product: Glue Dots Adhesive Sheets for die cutting. I've been having a lot of fun playing around with them. There are a ton of fun uses for them. They work beautifully with my Silhouette Cameo and my manual die cutting machine!

Just peel the paper backing of the adhesive sheet.

Place it on the paper you've chosen to cut, and run through your die cutting machine.

Peel the liner off.

If you peel slowly, the liner will do most of the weeding for you (which is my favorite thing about the new adhesive sheets).

I added my die cut heart and a die cut phrase to a simple Mix the Media frame from Jillibean Soup to create my Valentine's Day decor.

2 Page Travel Layout

It's a brand new month (and a brand new year, and a brand new decade!), which means a new kit from the Scrapbooking Store. This month's kit is a wither themed kit featuring Simple Stories, but today I have a 2 page travel layout using the kit.

The papers in this kit have a snowy, cozy feel to them. There are lots of cream, vintage soft blue, burgandy red, and forest green. There are also pops of mustard, grey, and light brown.

We traveled to Germany at the end of March. When we were in the Bavarian Alps there was still snow on the ground and it snowed the 2 days we were there. The woodsy, cozy feel of this collection lent itself well to scrapping those early spring snow travel photos.

My travel layouts (especially when there's as much gorgeous scenery as there was at Neuschwanstein Castle) tend to be pretty photo heavy, so I keep my embellishments simple. These layouts are all about getting my photos and notes into a scrapbook. I find 2 page layouts to be a great way to get a lot of photos down in one spread.

If you have some cozy winter or travel photos, you're going to love January's kit from the Scrapbooking Store. This is just the first of 3 layouts I've already created with it.
