If you've just arrived on my blog, you can start the blog hop HERE on the We R blog and hop through all the designers' blogs. If you arrived here from Traci's blog, you are in the right place! Today I'll be sharing a layout I created using We R's Embossing Strips to create a title.
I'm using We R Memory Keeper's Hello Darling for my layout today. I love the bright, springy colors, and they went perfectly with my bright, springy new bike photo. I wanted to make a title that would really stand out and be a little bit different, so I decided to make a custom title from a WRMK's embossing strip.
It was so easy to do, that I'll be doing it a lot more often. I just ran a white piece of paper though my evolution with the "You Make My Heart Smile" embossing strip from the Fine & Dandy set. Next I trimmed the paper down to the right size. Finally I added ink (I used both gray and navy blue) by rubbing the ink pad directly onto the paper. The embossed area will attract more ink, so the title gets darker than the surrounding area.
For NSD I get to give away a We R Memory Keeper's Sew Easy Starter Kit. I love my Sew Easy, and this kit has everything you need to get hand sewing the easy way on your cards and layouts! All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment. If you don't want to miss any of my future posts, you can follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
Be sure to visit all of
the blogs listed below where you’ll find amazing project ideas, tips, and

Fabulous project! Thanks for sharing :)
What a cool idea. I'll have to try this the next time I bust out my Evolution!
I love multiple and creative uses for my tools to change things up! Great tip. I have also wanted to try the sew tool. Looks like fun!
Great page! Thanks for the tip about the embossing absorbing more of the ink...I did not know that!
This page really pops!
The giveaways and inspirations just keep getting better on this hop!!! Embossing is something new for me but I love it! It adds SO MUCH to a card or layout in a quick and easy manner. Sewing is another matter; I didn't get the sewing talent gene from my (fiercely talented) Mom, but perhaps I could get better with this tool kit???
Anyway, Happy Scrapbooking Day!!!
The moe i see the more i want

the sewing looks like it would be so handy
thank you for the idea
Happy NSD Samantha! Nice layout. I never thought of using stripes as a background. It looks awesome. What a nice giveaway. I'm liking the idea of creating stitches on some of my pages. I just never had the tools before and hand punching the holes to stitch with would appear to take too much time. So I never tried it. Thanks for the chance to win this great giveaway. :)
Happy NSD! Love your layout, the title is fabulous!

I love the fact youve used a strong patterned paper as "whitespace" on your layout, it doesnt dominate the layout at all like I thought it might instead it highlights the photo even more!! Love the sew-easy!!! Always wanted one of those!
