Pumpkin Layout

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of Taylor Stamped. I do receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts and  A Walk Down Memory Lane to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own. My kids love picking out their pumpkins, and I love seeing what they carve from them. Their personalities always seem to shine through in their design. Today I've got a pumpkin layout using  Photo Play Paper Autumn Day documenting their jack-o-lanterns from last year.

Sometimes when I'm working with patterned papers that are a bit busy (like that awesome pumpkin paper), I like to design on an angle, or find a way to split up the paper. You still get to use a lot of the fun patterned paper, but the area where a busy paper comes together with a not so busy paper creates a natural focal point that draws your eye. Place a photo(s) in that same area, and your photo still takes center stage.

I've mentioned that I love using metallics on fall layouts, especially layouts using Photo Play's Autumn Day, and this layout is no exception. Here I used a Heidi Swapp Minc tag and covered it with some some mint Minc foil.

Such a fun time of year to scrap. I hope you're enjoying fall so far and taking lots fun autumn photos.
Thanks for stopping by!
